Houston Astros Boot Campaign Night With Michelle Branch

astrosPostgame concert to benefit charities helping injured soldiers and their families Houston, TX (June 21, 2011)— Saturday, June 25th was a night of base- ball, music and patriotism at Minute Maid Park as the Houston Astros and Boot Campaign hosted a postgame concert featuring Grammy-award winning singer and songwriter Michelle Branch. The postgame concert began immediately following the Houston Astros vs. Tampa Bay Rays game.

The postgame concert was a fundraiser with a portion of the proceeds of the discounted game tickets purchased through the www.astros.com/boot webpage going to the Boot Campaign, benefitting the Lone Survivor Foundation. The Boot Campaign and Lone Survivor Foundation focus on improving the lives of America's Wounded Warriors as they return home. Fans already holding tickets to the game may donate on their mobile phones by texting the word.

BOOT to 27722 to donate $10. Originally, Scott Stapp was scheduled to perform but had to cancel for medical reasons.

Michelle Branch rose to instant fame with The Spirit Room which went multi-platinum and produced the hits "Everywhere", "All Your Wanted" and "Goodbye to You". In 2002 Branch teamed up with Santana to record "The Game of Love" which became an international smash and won a Grammy Award for "Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals." Since then, Branch has performed with The Wreckers and is releasing her first solo project since 2003—Everything Comes and Goes.
